It’s common, especially this time of year, to feel like you’ve lost your spark — that little fire in your belly. We sometimes refer to this as feeling stuck or uninspired.
Some people might wonder if they ever even had a spark inside them to begin with!
Well, I have some good news for you if you’ve related to any of these. It’s there and I have some simple tricks that can help you find it and/or reignite it.
This topic was inspired by this week’s Drinking With Gin podcast guest
. His relatable and vulnerable memoir is called Wandering Spark. He shares the difficult details of growing up with an abusive stepfather. This abuse led him to believe he was worthless which resulted in a string of making poor decisions. His spark was all but distinguished. That is until he started surrounding himself with the right people that helped him reignite that spark that was within him all along.

It’s the beginning of October — the beginning of Q4 — and we are nearing the end of 2024. This is often a time when people reflect on what’s happened over the first 9 months of the year and what they’ve accomplished — and maybe what they haven’t.
It can be easy to beat ourselves up or feel like we haven’t done enough. Some people begin to feel uninspired, stuck, or like the spark has dimmed.
For those of you that are feeling good, tell me your secrets! And if you’re feeling stuck, I want to hear from you, too. Send me a message with what you’re feeling fired up about or struggling with.
Here are 5 simple that you can implement to help reignite your spark:
Practice gratitude: Look back at the first 9 months of the year and acknowledge what you have to be grateful for.
Surround yourself with supportive people: One of Kyle’s big aha moments from his memoir was how he noticed big shifts when he changed who he surrounded himself with. The right people will leave you feeling inspired, uplifted and will celebrate and support you.
Journal: Journaling helps in so many ways! You can journal about your feelings and your accomplishments. Use your I’m My Favorite: A Guided Journal for Your Path Forward journal to reflect on and adjust your intentions as well as use your nurture tracker to create healthy habits.
Set Goals: Setting, evaluating and resetting goals can be a useful tool to celebrate your progress and make adjustments where necessary.
Meditate: I’m a huge fan of meditation as it has truly changed my life. This helps you be present and in the moment. It has helped me become more calm and gain clarity. If you’ve never meditated before, check out this PODCAST EPISODE for a beautiful entry level overview with a built in guided meditation.
BONUS TIP: Schedule a session with a coach or therapist. I’ve opened up a few coaching spots for October! If you want help navigating the rest of 2024 and setting up 2025, I’m your girl! MESSAGE ME to secure your spot.
