Here’s my confession — I’ve been procrastinating starting this newsletter for over a year. 🤦🏼♀️ And the more I thought about it, the more overwhelmed I felt because more things were happening. I wondered, “How can I fit everything into one newsletter?” I quickly realized that’s not the point and that I just needed to start connecting with you. The overwhelm flipped into excitement and here we are.
So, let me be the example or the lesson. If there’s something you’ve been putting off, just do it!

Q: “I don’t know how to be positive with myself. Help!? I’m so negative with myself…”
A: “For starters, I’d say that the fact that you recognize that you’re engaging in negative self talk is a great first step. Being aware and acknowledging how you’re speaking to yourself is critical to making a change. If you’re engaging in negative self talk, especially often, it may be difficult to completely flip the script. So, you might start with something 10% or 20% kinder to yourself. When you do that, pay attention to how that makes you feel. If you’re ready to take it one step further, you can journal about your feelings and this can also be a great way to track over time how often you engage in negative and positive self talk. Just like with anything, it takes practice!”
